Why We Do This

In Thailand, more than 7 million people live below the national poverty line. This poverty has a significant impact on children's education and health, as families struggle to provide basic necessities such as food, clean water, and healthcare. As a result, many children do not have access to education or are forced to drop out of school to help support their families.
The lack of education has a profound effect on children's future opportunities and can lead to a cycle of poverty that can last for generations. Without education, these children are more likely to remain in poverty, face limited job prospects, and struggle to break free from the cycle of deprivation. Moreover, poverty often leads to poor physical and mental health, creating a negative impact on individuals and the wider society.
At the Thai Children Foundation, we are committed to breaking this cycle of poverty by promoting community development and religious harmony, education, and well-being. We provide aid to poverty-stricken children, families, and communities in Thailand by providing food, clean water, clothing, medical care, and additional support for their well-being.
We also provide educational grants, bursaries, school meals, equipment, supplies, books, and uniforms to ensure that children receive a quality education and improve their overall well-being. By doing so, we are not only helping children access education and health, but we are also breaking the cycle of poverty for families and communities in Thailand.
According to a report by UNICEF, education is the most effective way to combat poverty and create a brighter future for children. In Thailand, only 86.8% of children attend primary school, and this figure drops to just 71.8% for secondary school.
By providing children with access to education, we can help close this gap and give them the tools they need to build a better life for themselves and their families.

Our Work
At the Thai Children Foundation, we are dedicated to making a difference in the lives of children, families, and communities in Thailand. Our work is centred around four core areas:

Grant-Making Policy and Applications:
We offer grants to individuals and organisations that share our vision of improving the lives of children, families, and communities in Thailand. Our grant-making policy outlines the criteria for awarding grants, the application process, and other relevant information. We also provide detailed instructions on how to apply for a grant and what documents are required. Our grant-making policies and applications are an integral part of our work, and we encourage individuals and organisations to apply for funding to support their work in Thailand.
By focusing on these four core areas and providing grants to individuals and organisations that share our vision, we are working to create a brighter future for children in Thailand and break the cycle of poverty for generations to come.
